Margo Dionisio Joins Broncos Women's Golf Staff

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara women's golf made a big addition on Wednesday with the official hiring of assistant coach Margo Dionisio, who joins the Broncos after five years as an assistant coach for Cal State Fullerton women's golf. Bronco Head Coach Krystal Kelly made the announcement.

"I'm very excited to have Margo join our staff," Kelly said. "She has a wonderful track record as both a coach and player, and I believe that her experience and leadership will be a tremendous asset for our program."

A two-time All-Big West honoree as a student-athlete at CSUN, Dionisio joins the Broncos after a very successful five-year stint at Cal State Fullerton. First joining the Titans in 2017-18, she help guide the team to three tournament titles, two-runner up and two third-place finishes during her time on staff. That included a second-place finish in 2017-18 at the Battle at Old Works in which the team recorded their lowest 54-hole score in program history. Dionisio had a hand in four Titans earning all-conference honors, including 2020-21 Big West Women's Golf Player of the Year Brittany Shin.

"I'm excited to join the Bronco Family," Dionisio said. "I feel honored to get to work alongside Krystal. She has a clear vision to elevate this program and I look forward to further developing our players' potential so we can capture championships together."

A 2013 graduate of CSUN with a B.S. in Public Health Promotions, Dionisio played and lettered for the Matadors all four years, and served as team captain for her junior and senior campaigns. She posted a total of 10 top-10 finishes throughout her career, including an individual win at the 2013 Lady Cougar Invitational. A product of Whittier, Calif., she went on to play two years professionally on the Cactus, Grasshopper and NWGA Tours from 2013-15.
