Two Broncos Advance to Semis of Women's Tennis Consolation Bracket at Call Invite

BERKELEY, Calif. - Santa Clara women's tennis players JennaMarie Gordon and Kacey Feng advanced to the semifinals of the singles consolation bracket for each of their flights on Saturday at the Cal Fall Invitational.

During the second day of competition, Gordon and Feng won a pair of singles matches. Playing in the blue draw, Gordon beat UC Davis' Olive Maunupau, 6-4, 6-0, in the round of 16 and then Gonzaga's Adrianna Sosnowska, 6-3, 6-2 in the quarterfinals.

Feng competed in the white draw where she beat San Francisco's Qianer Qiu, 1-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-6) and Pacific's Zara Fung, 6-1, 6-2.

Gordon and Feng will play in the semfinal matches on Sunday.

Meanwhile the four Broncos - Finley Kalinic, Giulia Hayer, Varya Zlotnik and Dasee Carter - that advanced to the round of 16 in their respective draws, all lost their singles matches on Saturday.
