SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Coming off the fourth consecutive shutout of the season, Kendall McIntosh of men's soccer was named West Coast Conference Player of the Week on Monday, the first time in his career he has received the honor. The junior from Santa Rosa, Calif. made 11 saves to help the Broncos to a scoreless draw against No. 1 UCLA and a 1-0 victory over UC Riverside this weekend.

"It's a great feeling but I really owe it to my back defensive line," said McIntosh. "Everybody in front of me on the field has kept the shots and my activity to a bare minimum. They have been doing an excellent job, and I'm just here helping them out. If we continue to work as a unit, we will continue to see successful and that's what it's all about."

McIntosh has been the starting goalkeeper for the Broncos since his sophomore year and was a 2013 WCC Honorable Mention honoree. He has only allowed three goals in six matches this year. He has 22 total saves, .880 save percentage and a 4-1-1 record playing every minute for the Broncos.

The men will continue non-conference play when they travel to Cal State Fullerton on Fri., Sept. 19 to face the Titans at 7:30 p.m.
