SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Riding a four-game shutout streak, the Santa Clara men's soccer team tests its impressive 4-1-1 record when they head south to Fullerton, Calif. on Friday to take on the Cal State Fullerton Titans at 7:30 p.m. Live video, stats and audio of the match are available via Fullerton's athletic website.

"The organization we have as a team to defend and prevent goals is one side of the game you need to have to be a very good team," said Bronco head coach Cameron Rast. "The other necessary piece is to be good in the attack. When we win the ball, we need to be able to transition to a good attacking shape to be able to go quickly forward if we have the opportunity. Right now, we are trying to rush forward and taking too much risk with the ball."

Against the Titans on Friday, Rast stresses the importance of his teams' decision-making skills on the offense. "When we win the ball, we have to decide if we can go to the goal or do we need to keep possession to build towards goal. Right now, we are in a little bit of a flux to find that right moment."

Santa Clara is coming off of a positive weekend on the road with a telling scoreless draw to then-No. 1 UCLA and a strong 1-0 win over UC Riverside. Freshman Carlos Delgadillo leads the team with two goals and five points appearing in all six games for the Broncos. Sunday's 1-0 victory came from freshman Steve Eneme when he tallied his first score of the season in the first minute against UC Riverside.

Santa Clara holds a .418 shots on goal percentage while outscoring opponents 7-3 on the season. The Broncos average 9.2 shots per game. Starting goalkeeper Kendall McIntosh is coming off of his first West Coast Conference Player of the Week honor after he made 11 saves over the weekend for a .880 save percentage. The junior from Santa Rosa, Calif. has collected four shutouts during the young season.

Santa Clara leads the all-time series against Cal State Fullerton 11-7-2, with the Broncos on a two-game winning streak in the series. During the last time these two teams met in 2005, the Broncos beat the Titans, 1-0.

Fullerton holds a 1-3-2 overall record under first year head coach George Kuntz. Kuntz spent 19 years at UC Irvine before taking over the Titans. The team's only win this season comes from a 4-3 double overtime win over then-No. 14 University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Four of Fullerton's first six matches have entered overtime, and the Titans hold a 1-1-2 record in those games. The Titans have totaled eight goals this season, coming from five different players with Julian Okai and Marc Fenelus leading the team with two goals apiece.
