2021 WCC Men's Tennis All-Academic Release

SAN MATEO, Calif. – A trio of Santa Clara men's tennis players – Vasileios Iliopoulos, Dominic Barretto and Nick Cmager - garnered West Coast Conference All-Academic honors on Wednesday.

Iliopoulos was named to the All-Academic team while Barretto and Cmager were named honorable mention.

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team.

Iliopoulos is working towards a master's of science degree in finance and analytics with a 3.87 GPA.  The Athens, Greece native was named All-WCC second-team doubles last month along with Arthur Neuhaus.  This is the second all-academic honor for Iliopoulos who was named honorable mention after the 2019-20 season.

Barretto, a graduate transfer from Cal, has a 3.758 GPA in his master's work in marketing.  The second-team All-WCC singles selection played in the top three spots of the singles lineup all season going 8-7.

Cmager, a sophomore, has a 3.643 GPA in bioengineering to earn his first All-Academic honors.
