Student-Athlete Spotlight: Sarah King

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Sarah King set a personal best in the 6k at the Bronco Invitational on October 19 with a time of 21:37.5. Her times in the 6k at the WCC Championships and West Region Championships helped the Broncos to their best finishes at both meets since 2012.

Favorite memory as a Bronco thus far?
Racing at the NCAA West Regionals in Washington this season.

Favorite class at SCU so far?
The Philosophy of Emotions. It was really applicable, and it challenged me to think deeper about why we feel certain things.

Favorite things about SCU?
I love that it's a small DI school with a super lively atmosphere. 

First celebrity crush?
Andrew Garfield.

Favorite food?
Burritos.

Biggest inspiration?
My dad.

Two truths and a lie.
I have a German birth certificate.
When I was younger, I qualified for the Junior Olympics in jump roping.
I played competitive soccer until my junior year of high school.

Hobbies outside of sports?
I love rollerblading and doing crossword puzzles.
