Nabholz produced a 10th-place finish last time out in the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational 6k invitational. Her 20:35.0 was just three seconds off a program record. McCurry, King, Obermeyer and Covington rounded out the scoring contingent and the Broncos took eighth place of 26 teams.

BYU enters the race ranked fourth in the country and first in the mountain region. Portland is the only other team carrying a regional ranking; the Pilots are No. 6 in the west.

Associate head coach Pete Cushman: "We've had good performances all season. We've been consistent and competitive. To achieve our goals at WCC, we need to put together a collective great effort. There is a bottleneck of six or seven teams that could place any which way. It's going to be an exciting race, and the women are ready to go."

Estrella led the men in the 8k invitational at Bronco with a time of 24:49.3, good for 33rd place. Chilcott, Mohan, Raslowsky and Lagerstrom all scored as SCU captured eighth place of 26 teams.

Three teams are nationally ranked: BYU (2), Portland (12) and Gonzaga (29). The Cougars check in at second in the mountain region while the Pilots are fourth and Bulldogs are seventh in the west. San Francisco ranks 12th in the west region and Pepperdine is 14th.

Head coach Felipe Montoro: "We are focused on being prepared for our best effort of the season. The guys are ready to perform and excited for the opportunity to compete against some of the best in the NCAA. The competition is ready and so are we as we try to improve our finish from a year ago; it should be fun."
