SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Santa Clara track & field begins the 2019 campaign Friday at the UW Invitational. The Broncos will race at 5,000 meters and in the distance medley relay at Dempsey Indoor.
SCU begins the 2019 campaign on the heels of reaching the postseason three times in four years, the best stretch in program history.

Head coach Felipe Montoro: "This has become one of our favorite meets over the years for many reasons. I'm excited to take our biggest group yet up to compete against some high-level competition in a great venue. We're really looking forward to getting the season started."
Associate head coach Pete Cushman: "Janie and Emma are in very good early-season shape and I think they both have the mindset to take advantage of their fitness and competitive field to put great races together."
