Men's Golfer Earns Preseason All-WCC

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Matt McCarty of Santa Clara men's golf was voted to the Preseason All-West Coast Conference team.

McCarty was of 10 golfers named to the team. A senior, he has played in 32 career tournaments, including all 11 in 2018-19 when he earned all-league honors.

The native of Scottsdale, Arizona, has a 71.72 career scoring average, including a team-best 71.26 last season.

McCarty was also an All-WCC choice in 2017-18 when he helped the Broncos reach the NCAA Tournament.

The Broncos open the regular season on Sept. 30 at the Firestone Invitational in Akron, Ohio.
