After two rounds of play in the Saint Mary's Invitational, the Broncos are in 5th place out of 18 teams and just eight shots back. The team continues to be led by Jimmy Cacho (-1) who shot even par in the second round today and remains just two shots off the individual lead.

Sophomore Alex Bon (+2) started off his second round with some bad luck. His ball hit a sprinkler head on the first hole and he ended up with a triple bogey, but he bounced back strong from that and shot one under the rest of the way to end up two over for the round.

Freshman Tyler Ichikawa has had a strong start to his college career at Santa Clara. After shooting four over in the first round, he collected himself to shoot even par for the second. "It was a real nice day for Tyler," said head coach Robert Miller. "It's a good start to his college career."

Junior Jonathan Keane (+8) rounds out the scoring and is tied for 53rd after shooting a second round 75. Senior Blair Myers is 15 over after a second round 78.

"Our team is excited for tomorrow," said Miller. "We're only eight shots out. We're excited to be in the hunt."
