The Santa Clara men's golf team stayed put in tenth place at the CordeValle Collegiate today at the conclusion of the second round. In a day of tougher pin placements and conditions, no team shot under par. The Broncos shot 18-over today to sit at +31 for the tournament.
Jimmy Cacho continues to lead the team in scoring. He was two-under for the day before a double-bogey on the final hole dropped him to even par. Still, he is tied for 17th with a score of +1 for the tournament.
Tim Lynch and Scott Travers shot dual 74's for the second day in a row. They are tied for 34th going into the final round.
Jonathan Keane shot six-over today and currently sits in 51st place at +8. Shaun Pienkos (+16) was the final scorer for the Broncos today, shooting an 80 for his second straight round to sit in 63rd. Blair Myers had a difficult day, shooting an 86 to end up tied for 68th at +20.
The Broncos will tee off in the third and final round of the CordeValle Collegiate tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. and will make a push to move up the leader board.
