Santa Clara, Calif. -- After last week's victory over WWPA opponent Cal State East Bay, Santa Clara's women's water polo team received its first national ranking of the year. The Broncos are ranked 19th in the nation and are 1-0 in the conference after being picked to finish fourth in the preseason poll.
Santa Clara was led by Claire Linney on Saturday, as she recorded a hat trick in the first game of the season. The Broncos get back into action Sunday, Feb. 3 when they head to No. 3 Stanford.
