Up Next
Santa Clara (12-6) will head to Indiana to take part in IU's Fluid Five this coming weekend. The Broncos will play in three games over two days beginning on Saturday, March 29 and ending Sunday, March 30. Saturday the team will take on No. 12 Michigan at 5:30 p.m. On Sunday they will face a double-header of Wagner at 9:00 a.m. and No. 17 Indiana at 1:00 p.m.

Last Week
This past week the Broncos got a much needed rest during finals. The week before, Santa Clara took down Sonoma State for the third time this year 9-4 at their pool.

Notes

Spreading the Wealth
In their last game against Sonoma State, the Broncos scored nine goals and had eight different goal scorers. That is the most players to score in one game this season since eight players scored in Santa Clara's 14-5 rout of UC Santa Cruz in their final game in Malley Pool.

Stingy Santa Clara The Broncos continue to be one of the top defensive teams in the country, and are currently tops in the WWPA, allowing a measly 6.1 goals per game, which is good for third in nation. That is due in large part to their stellar defenders and Randahl Capurro in goal who is fifth in the nation with 221 saves.

WWPA Wins Santa Clara has a 10-3 record against the WWPA this year, three more wins than the next closest team. The Broncos are also 3-0 against the WWPA at home this year.

Top Twenty Watch The Broncos are currently in a tie for 19th in the national rankings with fellow WWPA member UC San Diego with 14 points in the polls. This weekend the team will face off against two teams that are ranked in the top 20. So far this year the Broncos are 2-5 against top 20 teams.
