Rain Washes Out First Two Rounds of Kikkor Classic in Seattle

BREMERTON, Wash. – On Monday, rain washed out the first two rounds of the University of Washington's Kikkor Golf Husky Invitational at Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Wash.

In what was suppose to be one of the West Coast's top fall tournaments, 10 of the field's 16 teams have chosen to reschedule another event rather than compete Tuesday in what will be an 18-hole, winner-take-all format. Santa Clara, Pepperdine, Gonzaga, Fresno State, Washington State and tournament host Washington are all scheduled to play tomorrow.

"We are pretty booked with our schedule and we can't have our guys miss any more school," said head coach Rob Miller about his decision to stay and play Tuesday. "We have Edgewood (Tahoe) next week and our tournament in Cabo, so including this tournament, our four events this fall will get us ready for the spring."
