SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The Bronco men's golf team had a pair of players among the top 15 after the first day of action at the picturesque Sandpiper Golf Club in Santa Barbara at the 2012 OGIO‐UCSB Invitational.

Santa Clara sophomore Scott Lowe shot an opening-round 71 and senior teammate Ronnald Monaco posted a 2-under par 70 in the afternoon session, as both Broncos rest tied for 15 among a 74-man field.

West Coast Conference rival St. Mary's is the overnight team leader, edging out Long Beach State as the top team heading into Tuesday's final 18 holes.
