Santa Clara Comes in Sixth at Washington’s Kikkor Classic

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – After rain washed out the first two rounds of the University of Washington's Kikkor Golf Husky Invitational, Santa Clara University stayed and played Tuesday in what turned out to be an 18-hole, six-team event at Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Wash.

The Broncos finished sixth behind and tournament host Washington, Fresno State, Washington State, Pepperdine and Gonzaga. Northwest natives Bobby Monaco (Eugene, Ore.) and Cory Mehl (Seattle, Wash.) were Santa Clara's top finishers with rounds of 76 and 77.
