Men’s Tennis Signs German Player with National Open Ranking of No. 85

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's tennis signed Lukas Maskow, a player from Germany with a national open ranking of No. 85, to a National Letter of Intent to join the program for the 2023-24 season.  Broncos head coach Niall Angus made the announcement.

"I chose Santa Clara because of the beautiful architectural campus and the positive environment the team and the coaches bring every day to the court," said Maskow.

The six-foot Maskow from Berlin has a universal tennis rating of 12.52 and a career-high ITF Junior ranking of No. 346.  In 2022, Maskow took part in the men's national championships in Germany.

"I am very excited that Lukas has chosen to bring his talents to Santa Clara," said Angus.  "Lukas' high level on the court and good character will make him an excellent fit with the rest of the players on our team.  I am looking forward to helping him reach his true potential and watching him stack up some wins on the court in the Bronco maroon and white."
