ITA Division I Men's Tennis National Singles Rankings
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – In the latest ITA Division I men's national singles rankings that came out on Tuesday, Santa Clara men's tennis player Christian Lerby is ranked No. 117.
The graduate transfer in his first season on the Mission Campus has a sterling 12-1 singles record against Division I opponents. All but one of his wins has come from the No. 3 spot in the lineup.
Lerby currently has an eight-match winning streak including wins over two ranked opponents. Back on March 11, he defeated No. 75 Max Westphal of Columbia 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 and this past weekend, he took down No. 123 Wally Thayne of BYU 7-6 (7-1), 6-2 to help lead the Broncos to its first ever win at BYU.
Santa Clara (12-8, 4-2 WCC) next plays on Saturday against San Francisco followed by William Jessup at home.
