SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara men's tennis played back-to-back matches on Saturday against San Francisco and William Jessup and blanked both teams.

Beginning with their match in the morning, Santa Clara (14-8) faced WCC opponent San Francisco (2-15) and won swiftly 4-0 then returned to Degheri Tennis Center just a couple hours later to play William Jessup which resulted in a 7-0 win.

Match 1: Santa Clara 4 - San Francisco 0

Doubles play of their morning match went well as the Broncos only needed two matches to get their first point of the day on the board. Santiago Hinojosa started the singles matches off with a win in which he only allowed two games over the two sets. Arthur Neuhaus then extended SCU's lead to 3-0 as he won his match in which he only allowed three games. The clinching match for the Broncos came on Court 5 as Jack Pulliam took down his opponent. The remaining matches were abandoned but notably Christian Lerby, who just made the ITA rankings at No. 117 and played his first match of the season in the 1 spot for the Broncos, was up in his second set after winning the set prior.

Match 2: Santa Clara 7 - William Jessup 0

All of the matches between Santa Clara and William Jessup were played out today, beginning with doubles in which the Broncos won all three matches. Hinojosa again got the Broncos their first win in singles, this time going 6-0, 6-0. Neuhaus then won his match to again bring the score to 3-0 before Matthew Rodriguez clinched the match on Court 6. None of the Broncos allowed their opponents more than a game in any set.

The Broncos close out the regular season with a pair of WCC matches, hosting Pepperdine on Saturday, April 22 and LMU on Sunday, April 23.
