Men’s Tennis Picked to Finish Fourth in WCC

WCC Release

SAN MATEO, Calif. - Santa Clara men's tennis was picked to finish fourth in the 2023 West Coast Conference preseason poll by the league's 10 coaches.  The Broncos received 56 points in the poll, behind Pepperdine, which was picked to finish first with 81 points and nine first place votes, San Diego (70 points) and Gonzaga (61).

The eight player Broncos squad bring back an experienced team comprised entirely of upperclassmen including four graduate students.  Santiago Hinojosa and Arthur Neuhaus, are in their fifth year with the program and are joined by a pair of graduate transfers, Jack Pulliam and Christian Lerby.  While Pulliam played during the fall season, Lerby will be making his Bronco debut in the spring after transferring from Arizona State.

Seniors Nick Cmager, Matthew Rodriguez and Mann Shah all enter their fourth season on the Mission Campus while junior Guillaume Dalmasso rounds out the squad.

Last season, the Broncos finished fifth in the WCC with a 4-4 record in league play and 9-12 overall.

Santa Clara kicks off its 2023 dual match season on Jan. 22 at Stanford.
