ITA Northwest Regional Championships Full Draw and Results
BERKELEY, Calif. - Santa Clara men's tennis player Santiago Hinojosa captured the singles title and the doubles tandem of Jack Pulliam and Mann Shah won the doubles title, respectively, in the consolation bracket of the ITA Northwest Regional Championships on Sunday.
Playing on the fourth day of the championships, Hinojosa downed Nevada's Youssef Kadiri in three sets, 4-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-7) in the semifinals and got a walkover in the finals.
Pulliam and Shah won their quarterfinal match, 8-6, over UC Davis' Constantinos Djakouris and Coleton Hootman. They then deposed Nevada's tandem of Sasha Nicolau and Patricio Nieto, 8-1, in the semfinals before also getting a walkover in the finals.
Arthur Neuhaus and Guillaume Dalmasso, who did not play in the Regionals, are the lone Broncos who qualified for the Super Regionals that will be played at Stanford from Oct. 21 - 24.
