Meet the Future of Santa Clara Women's Soccer: DB Pridham

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Ushering in a new era of Bronco soccer, the Santa Clara women's soccer team welcomes DB Pridham from the 2016 signing class to the squad.

"During my university visitation time, I realized no other school compared to Santa Clara," said Pridham.

"We're thrilled to have DB joining our team," said Santa Clara head coach Jerry Smith. "She is a box to box midfielder that covers a tremendous amount of ground. There are very few people that will be able to outwork her and she's a tough competitor. She'll come in and compete for one of our midfield spots."

One of two newcomers from nearby St. Francis High School to join the Broncos in 2016, Pridham has been an offensive threat for the Lancers during her four years with the program. As a freshman, she scored more than 30 goals at the junior varsity level before being called up to varsity where she subsequently led her squad to the CCS finals. For her success on the pitch and in the classroom, Pridham has been named First Team All League and a scholar athlete.

Competing at the club level, Pridham led her squad to the ECNL National Playoffs in 2013, scoring three goals in the progress. She also helped propel her team to a championship in the North American Nationals tournament the same year, netting the game-winning goal.

Rewarded for her talents, Pridham was invited to the United State U-20 team camp in 2015.

Continuing her family's legacy, Pridham joins her brothers Austin and Mackenzie as a collegiate student-athlete. In her free time, Pridham enjoys art.
