Women's Soccer to Host Soccer Clinic April 3

Women's Soccer to Host Soccer Clinic April 3

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's soccer will be hosting a soccer clinic for girls ages 8-12 on Sunday, April 3. The cost of attendance is the donation of a new pair of cleats, a new jersey or a new soccer ball.

All of these items will be donated to a non-profit organization call "99 Esperanzas" which was founded by Santa Clara women's soccer player Janae Gonzalez. Her organization donates these items to children in developing countries who otherwise would never have access to these items.

The clinic will be followed by a spring game between Santa Clara and the semi-pro Sacramento Storm at 3 p.m. at Stevens Stadium.

Please RSVP to Lisa Oyen Ljubicic at loyen@scu.edu to reserve your spot as enrollment is limited.

When: Sunday, April 3rd
Where: SCU Campus
Time: 11:00 am-1:30 pm (Includes one and a half hours of soccer followed by an hour of Q&A. There will also be a Growth Mindset talk with members of the Santa Clara Soccer team.)
Fee: All we ask is for each player to donate a NEW pair of cleats OR a NEW soccer jersey OR a NEW soccer ball.
