Santa Clara Falls To San Diego State, 12-4

IRVINE, Calif. - The Santa Clara women's water polo team continued play at the UC Irvine Invitational with a match against San Diego State University. Brianna Anderson added two more goals, but the Broncos lost 12-4. Kristin Barnes posted a season-high 16 blocks in the cage.

On offense, Brianna Anderson continued her strong play. In addition to her two goals, the Broncos received goals from Claire Linney and Kellie Dunn. Kendra Betke had two steals and Allie Lamb and Meg Zimmerman each had two kickouts drawn.

In the cage, Kristin Barnes posted a season-high 16 blocks against a San Diego State team that is ranked eighth.

The Broncos will continue play Sunday against conference foe UC San Diego at 10:30 a.m.
