SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara women's water polo is set to take part in the Claremont Convergence Tournament. The Broncos (2-9) are coming off a 19-6 loss to No. 8 Fresno State (10-7) heading into the tournament weekend.
The tournament, which features 27 programs from across the country, will be hosted by Pomona-Pitzer, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, University of La Verne, and Occidental College.
On Friday, the Broncos will play La Salle (4-7) at 12:30 p.m. and Augustana (1-4) later in the afternoon at 4:15 p.m.
The Broncos will face Villanova (8-7) at 9:00 a.m. and Siena (3-6) at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday to close out the tournament.
Elle Fredrickson leads the team in scoring with 20 goals, and Lauren Baglietto is second (16).
Lauren Baglietto also has a team-high of 20 kickouts drawn.
Lauren Voss leads the team in assists (15) and steals (12).
