21 Broncos Named To ACWPC All-Academic Team

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The Association of College Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) announced its annual All-Academic Team on Tuesday, and Santa Clara women's water polo was well-represented with 21 total student-athletes earning a spot on the prestigious list.

To qualify for the ACWPC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must attain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.20 or higher. Divided into three teams based on cumulative grade-point average, the three teams are Outstanding, Superior, and Excellent. In order to be placed on the Outstanding Team, a student-athlete attained a 4.0-3.71 grade-point average. Players named to the Superior Team earned a 3.70-3.41 grade-point average while student-athletes placed on the Excellent Team earned a 3.40-3.20 grade-point average.

Eight Broncos earned a spot on the Outstanding Team - Chloe Morrison, Nina Damjanac, Lauren Voss, Halley Seed, Francesca Moynihan, Elle Fredrickson, Libby Slater and Natalie Brauser

Santa Clara also had 10 representatives on the Superior Team - Liyara Senadheera, Maddie Clough, Abby Fleming, Anuhea Ledesma, Georgia Lewis, Kelly Frumkin, Harper Daniels, Annika Disney, Lauren Baglietto and Grace Kavanagh

Mia Battilega, Adelina Hernandez and Hannah Hoeptner rounded out the list with spots on the Excellent Team. 

Santa Clara posted a team GPA of 3.48, good for 23rd out of the field of 49 programs.
