14 Women's Water Polo Athletes Honored On GCC All-Academic Team

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. – Santa Clara women's water polo had 14 players earn spots on the 2021-22 Golden Coast Conference All-Academic team. A total of 158 players from the league were recognized across both men's and women's teams.

Lauren Baglietto, Mia Battilega, Maddie Clough, Harper Daniels, Elle Fredrickson, Kelly Frumkin, Adelina Hernandez, Grace Kavanagh, Anuhea Ledesma, Chloe Morrison, Francesca Moynihan, Halley Seed, Liyara Senadheera and Lauren Voss were the Broncos' representatives on the women's team.

Frumkin, taking advantage of her fifth year of eligibility, has the rare distinction of earning a spot on the all-academic team for all five years with the program. Battilega earned her fourth-straight appearance on the team while Baglietto has been on the team for three-straight years. Clough, Fredrickson, Hernandez, Kavanagh, Senadheera and Voss all made their second-straight appearance on the team.

The team consists of members who carried a 3.0 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale), played in at least 50 percent of the team's contests and was classified as a full-time student who has completed a minimum of one semester or two quarters at her institution.
