Women's Water Polo Falls At San Jose State, 13-5

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Santa Clara women's water polo saw their three-game win streak come to an end on Tuesday morning, falling at San Jose State, 13-5. 

Five different scorers found the back of the net for the Broncos, including Kate Rodman for her first career goal. Rodman also was credited with an assist and a steal. Lauren Baglietto, Halley Seed, Kelly Frumkin and Sophia Harvey also scored a goal in the losing effort whily Abby Flemming came away with a team-high three steals. 

Liyara Senadheera played 24 minutes in the net with seven saves while Grace Kavanagh (one save) and Georgia Lewis also saw time at goalkeeper. 

San Jose State (11-11) was led offensively by Olga Descalzi, who tied for the team-lead of two goals and added three assists for a game-high five points. 

The Broncos (6-12) will look to bounce back this weekend with back-to-back days of action against conference opponents beginning Friday at Cal Baptist before taking on San Diego State on Saturday.
