Broncos Take Down Cal Baptist, 9-8

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - Santa Clara women's water polo took down Cal Baptist, 9-8, on Friday in their first of two-straight days of competition in SoCal. The win is the Broncos' second in conference play this season and their fourth total win in their last five games. 

Lauren Baglietto led the charge with three goals on five attempts. Her biggest goal of the day came on a powerplay with 5:16 remaining in the fourth period to give Santa Clara (7-12, 2-1) the go-ahead score that they would hold on to for the remainder of the period. 

Chloe Morrison and Elle Fredrickson chipped in two goals apiece while Mia Battilega and Kelly Frumkin also recorded a goal in the victory. 

Liyara Senadheera played all 32 minutes in the net and finished with eight saves. 

Cal Baptist (12-11, 0-2) was led by Kira O'Donnell's game-high four goals.
