Allie Lamb and Will Grant Named Water Polo Assistant Coaches

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Allie Lamb and Will Grant have officially been named assistant coaches for Santa Clara water polo. Lamb will work with the women while Grant will work with the men. The Broncos made the official announcement on Friday.

Lamb initially joined the women's team prior to the start of the 2022 season as a volunteer assistant coach. The 2009 Santa Clara alum joined the squad after spending 10 seasons as the head varsity and junior varsity water polo coach at the Harker School from 2010-2020. During her playing days as a Bronco, Lamb helped guide the team to a second-place finish in the league as a senior and team captain in 2009. After hanging up her cap, she joined the team as a volunteer assistant for 2010 season while working toward a graduate degree in Multiple Subject Credential with CLAS emphasis. She earned her Masters of Education from Concordia University, UCI in 2018.

Grant joins the Broncos after serving as the head boy's water polo coach at St. Ignatius College Prep in San Francisco. After joining the program as an assistant coach in 2018, he was promoted to head coach in April 2019. While working at St. Ignatius, Grant also split time as an age group coach for the San Francisco Water Polo Club. In October of 2021, he joined the USA Water Polo Olympic Development Program as a Cadet Team Assistant Coach. 

Grant is a 2016 graduate of Santa Clara University where he was four-year member of the men's water polo team, serving as a team captain for his junior and senior seasons. He concluded his career tied for fifth in program history in earned ejections. Grant graduated with a degree in Biology from SCU and earned his Masters of Science in Marine Biology from San Francisco State in 2021.
