Aggie Roundup Tournament Central
DAVIS, Calif. - Santa Clara men's water polo fell in its finale at the Aggie Roundup.
Gal Haimovich and Bence Szabo each scored three times for San Jose State, which defeated the Broncos, 15-6, on Sunday.
After splitting a pair of games on Saturday at the three-day event, Santa Clara (5-4) came out sluggish and was unable to recover after the Spartans led 8-0 at halftime.
San Jose State (4-7) made the most of its opportunities, scoring on six of 10 chances with the man advantage.
Bennett Stafford had three goals for the Broncos who were 4-for-17 with the extra attacker.
NOTES
- Matt Peterson, Jake Taylor, Patrick Guinn, Blake D'Souza, Chase Raisin and Dominick Kirk started the game, along with goalie Sean Tehaney who made 10 saves. Guinn was in the starting lineup for the first time in his career.
