Darkness Suspends Second Round Of Bill Cullum Invitational

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. – The second round of the Bill Cullum Invitational was suspended due to darkness and will be completed Tuesday morning prior to the final round at the Wood Ranch Golf Club in Simi Valley. The Broncos are currently tied for 10th in the 20-team field.

All 108 players will complete second round action Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. (PT) with final round play to start immediately after the conclusion of round two.

Led by junior Gio Gandionco, who carded a 4-under 68 over the first 18 holes, the Broncos compiled a first round score of 282 (-6) and were tied for sixth. They were 7-over through 14 holes of the second round and dropped into a tie for 10th with Washington State when play was suspended.

Tyler Kertson scored a 2-under 70 while Carlos Briones and Hayden Shieh were both at even-par 70 after round one.

USC, the 24th ranked team in the country according to Golfweek.com, held the team lead at 13-under 275 through 18 holes and lowered their team score by six shots through 14 holes of round two. They lead 33rd-ranked Arizona State by five shots heading into play Tuesday.

USC's Rico Hoey (-11) held a two-shot lead over teammate Jonah Texeira when play was halted.
