LOS CABOS, Mexico –Tyler Kertson is the overnight leader at the Cabo Del Sol Intercollegiate and SCU teammate Hayden Shieh is in a tie for second after the first two rounds at Cabo del Sol Resort's Ocean and Desert courses in Baja.
Kertson - a junior from Arizona's Brophy College Prep - fired a 4-under par 68 Monday to move into the tournament's top spot. Shieh, the 2014-2015 WCC Freshman of the Year has gone 69-70 and sits at -5 under.
The 10-team, 58-player field will play the final round Tuesday morning at the Jack Nicklaus and Tom Weiskop designed courses. Santa Clara is currently in fourth place as a team.
