Meet the Future of Santa Clara Softball: Jordan Dawkins

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara softball head coach Lisa Mize has signed three NLI's for the 2015 season. Jordan Dawkins, a utility player from San Jose, Calif. attended Valley Christian High School.

"I chose Santa Clara because I know that with this University, I am not only getting a fantastic education, but I am getting to play softball with an amazing set of people," said Dawkins. "I am getting the best of both the athletic benefits as well as the educational benefits. The overall school atmosphere is perfect for me. The coaches here are in a class by themselves. These coaches, I believe, will get my skills sharpened and polished and ultimately, my game will be at its finest. On top of all of the softball bonuses, the communications program here will pay dividends in the near future when I need to go forward into the "real word" and use the skills I honed to be successful.  Being that Santa Clara is a faith based school, makes me feel even more at home."

"Jordan works tremendously hard at everything she does," said Mize. "Her work ethic and dedication is one of her true qualities. She is a very versatile player and plays each position with finesse. Jordan will be a awesome addition to our Bronco family!"
