Davidson recorded an 8k program record 23:37.7 at the WCC Cross Country Championships on Feb. 24 to earn an automatic berth to the NCAA meet; he is one of 38 individuals selected from non-qualifying teams. The Colorado native took eighth place overall at conference and became Santa Clara's first All-WCC men's runner since Robbie Reid finished in second place in 2009.

In addition to being Santa Clara's fastest 8k runner all-time, Davidson owns the second-best 10k mark, a 30:46.1 at the 2017 Chile Pepper Festival.

The only other Bronco runner to qualify for the national championship meet is Stephanie Wilson in 2009. Wilson won the WCC Championship on her way to a 28th-place finish and All-American Honors at nationals.
