Track & Field Looks to Continue Record-Breaking Spring Saturday at Fresno State Invitational

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Santa Clara track & field looks to continue its record-breaking 2021 season in its second-straight weekend of the competition. The Broncos head to Clovis, California for the Fresno State Invitational at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

The Broncos have set two school records and posted 19 new times on the program's top 10 lists through six events this season. They are set to race at eight difference distances, with start times ranging from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. The competition includes Cal Poly, Cal State Bakersfield, Fresno State, Nevada, Sacramento State, Saint Mary's San José State and Seattle.

Last week, Jack Davidson bested his own 5,000-meter program record for the men and the women posted four top-five finishes as part of another banner round of competition for the Broncos Friday and Saturday. The men raced at the Azusa Pacific-hosted Bryan Clay Invitational at Cougar Athletic Stadium while the women competed at the Whitworth College-hosted Sam Adams Classic at Boppell Track. The Broncos recorded 17 new personal-best marks, including 10 new times for the program's top 10 lists.
