Santa Clara Head Coach Mark O'Brien
On the game:
"Our pitching and defense really helped us with that game. We played very good defense in the infield and outfield. Nate [Garcia] also threw quality strikes, as did Steve Kalush. We have a lot of quality at bats. We only struck out twice."
On Geoff Klein's game-winning performance:
"Geoff had some really good at bats for us. He's a good RBI guy. In that last at bat, he didn't try to do too much with it and he came up big for us."
On getting win No. 200:
"It's exciting. I'm really happy that our players got the job done today. They were the ones who helped me reach that milestone. I'm glad they were rewarded with the win for their efforts today."
On tomorrow's game against Rhode Island:
"URI is a scrappy team. We need to play the game right. We need to go out there and play our game. It's going to be tough. We can't go out there and just give an average performance and hope to ride on today's win. If we go out there and do things the right way, good things will happen."
