SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara baseball game scheduled for Tuesday, March 3 at Sacramento State has been postponed due to rain.
The Sacramento area has been hit with periods of heavy rain the past two days, with more forecast to come the remainder of the week. Up to an inch of rain is forecast to come down in the area on Tuesday alone. There is no makeup date planned for the game as of yet, and the contest was the only one scheduled between the two clubs this season.
The Broncos take to the road for a four game series against the Ducks of Oregon. The first game is scheduled for Friday, March 6 at 2 p.m. in Eugene, Ore. The two teams will then battle in a doubleheader on Saturday, March 7 starting at 11 a.m. The series comes to a close on Sunday, March 8 with a single game at 1 p.m.
