Couer d'Alene Invitational Up Next For Bronco Women's Golf

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara women's golf is set to take part in their second of four fall events this weekend with a three-day stay at the Couer d'Alene Invitational hosted by Gonzaga in Couer d'Alene, Idaho. The Broncos will be in action for 54 holes from Sunday through Tuesday.

NOTES

  • The Broncos will be playing in their second of four fall events. 
  • The 2022 USF Invitational will be played at the Couer d'Alene Resort Golf Course with 18 holes to be played each day. 
  • In addition to Santa Clara and host-Gonzaga, 17 other teams will be competing for the title. Georgetown, Hawai'i, Cinicinnati, USF, Nevada, Oral Roberts, Northern Illinois, Sacramento State, Northern Arizona, GCU, Wyoming, Florida International, Seattle U., Long Beach State, Cal State Fullerton, Southern Utah and UC Riverside will all be in attendance. 
  • Santa Clara's lineup for the two-day event will be Claire Choi, Inara Sharma, Audrey Brust, Rachael Wang and Borina Sutikto
  • The Broncos are coming off an 8th-place finish at last week's USF Intercollegiate. Choi was the Broncos' top individual with a tie for eigth. Sutikto tied for 17th for her ninth career top-20 finish. 
  • Choi is returning for one final season with the Broncos after a sensational senior campaign that saw her win two individual titles and the third-lowest single-season scoring average in program history (74.03). 
  • Sutikto, now a sophomore, is coming off a fantastic freshman season in which she earned all-conference honors after posting a team-best eight top-20 finishes, including four top-10 turns. She finished the year right behind Choi in the record books with a season stroke average of 74.07.
