SPOKANE, Wash. - Santa Clara women's golf freshman Audrey Brust secured her first-career top-five finish on Tuesday, finishing her stay at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational with a fifth-place finish at even-par 75-67-74--216.
Brust's finish is the best of the early season for any Bronco individual and the first top-five finish for the Broncos since Claire Choi won the Bobcat Desert Collegiate on April 12, 2022.
Santa Clara finished sixth in the field of 21 with a three-day total of 23-over 293-289-305--887.
Borina Sutikto turned in Santa Clara's top score on the day of 1-over 73 to finish in a tie for 21st at 5-over 73-75-73--221. Lauren Shew (73-74-80--227) and Inara Sharma (72-77-78--227) tied for 50th at 11 over and Choi finished t-70th with a 75-73-83--231. Individual Maddie Wu (78-79-83--240) finished 101st.
Gonzaga (872) edged out Weber State (873) for the team title while Nevada's Victoria Galley (72-71-70--213) won medalist honors in a playoff over Cal Baptist's Hailey Loh and Cal State Fullerton's Davina Xanh.
