Freshman Brust Ties School Record At Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational

SPOKANE, Wash. - Freshman Audrey Brust had a day to remember, and certainly one for the record books, on day one of the 2022 Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational. The Reno native turned in an eye-popping 5-under 67 second round card, tying the record for the lowest 18-hole score in program history.

Brust's 67 was part of a 2-under 75-67--142 total on the day, and she currently is tied for second in the individual standings with 18 holes remaining. The final round will tee off on Tuesday at 8 a.m. PT.

Bouncing back from her opening round 3-over tally, Brust rolled in six birdies in the second round with just one bogey on the card. That included a stretch of four-straight birdie puts on holes 2-5.

As a team, Santa Clara finished the 36-hole day in third at 6-over 293-289--582. They enter Tuesday's final round just two strokes behind co-leaders Weber State and Gonzaga (580).

Lauren Shew had a solid day with a 3-over 73-74--144 to tie for 20th. Claire Choi (75-73) and Borina Sutikto (73-75) are tied with each other for 29th at 4-over 148, and Inara Sharma is just one stroke behind her teammates in a tie for 35th at 5-over 72-77--149. Maddie Wu, playing as an individual is tied for 89th at 13-over 158.
