Women's Soccer Falls at No. 7 TCU

FORT WORTH, Texas – In its first game outside the Bay Area, Santa Clara women's soccer lost 7-0 at No. 7 TCU Thursday night.

The Horned Frogs (3-0) were in control most of the way, scoring twice in the first half and continuing to add on in the second. The Broncos (1-2) struggled to keep the ball and seemed out of sync in their passing. When they got in the attacking third, Santa Clara couldn't set up its attackers for dangerous chances.

NOTES

  • Santa Clara was outshot for the first time this year. The Broncos attempted seven shots with five on target.
  • Cianna Elmazaj Annie Karich both made her first career starts. Felicity Baker made her season debut and played the second half. She made one save and starter Kylie Foutch made three. Nicole Sweeney also made her season debut.
  • Santa Clara is now 2-1 all-time vs. TCU.
