  • Santa Clara has scored 28 goals with 34 assists. The Broncos have outshot their opponents 262-114 and 119-47 in shots on goal this season while playing four top-10 teams. In conference play, they have outscored opponents 17-3.
  • Izzy D'Aquila is third in the country in goals with 17 and 41 points. She is one of three players averaging over a goal scored per game. Farrah Walters has five goals and four assists as well for 4 points. Colby Barnett has scored twice with a team-high six assists and Isabel Dehakiz, Keren Goor, Karly Reeves, and Cianna Elmazaj have each scored once. Annie Karich has five assists, Alyssa Bourgeois has four, Marisa Bubnis has three, Dehakiz has two, and Goor, Lucy Mitchell, Makoto Nezu, Lia Henkelmann, and Marlee Nicolos each have one.
  • Marlee Nicolos has appeared in 12 games and has 19 saves with four shutouts. She has a 0.82 GAA. Kyle Foutch has appeared in five matches and made seven saves. She has one shutout. Felicity Baker has been appeared three and has six saves.
  • D'Aquila is in seventh place all-time in program history with 48 career goals. Next up is Mikka Hansen (1993-96) with 52. D'Aquila would become just the seventh Bronco with 50 or more career goals.
  • D'Aquila is also ninth in program history with 112 points. Next is Leslie Osborne (2011-04) with 122.
  • D'Aquila has scored in six matches in a row and in eight of the last nine. Over the span she has scored 15 goals. It is just the third time in Santa Clara history a player has scored in at least six consecutive matches. She is tied with Sofia Huerta (6, 2013) and trails only Mandy Clemens (9, 1999), and Brandi Chastain (15, 1990).
  • Nicolos' career 0.77 goals against average is currently fourth in program history.
  • D'Aquila won three consecutive WCC Player of the Week awards. The first came September 19 after she scored a brace vs. No. 9 Stanford. She made it back-to-back with the September 26 honor for four goals against San Francisco. She completed the threepeat on October 3 after a hat trick against Pacific in the conference opener.
  • D'Aquila's is the 19th Bronco with a hat trick and the one against Pacific was the 31st in program history. She becomes the first Bronco with multiple hat tricks in a season since Morgan Marlborough had three in 2013.
  • The eight days between her four-goal performance and hat trick were the second fewest in program history. Jacqui Little had six days between hat tricks in 1999.
  • Farrah Walter's hat trick at Oregon on September 8 was the 29th in program history and the first since Kelsey Turnbow on October 20, 2017 against Saint Mary's. Turnbow was also a freshman at the time. Walters also becomes the 18th player in program history with at least three goals in a match.
  • The match against Stanford was played in front of a season-high 3,411 fans.
  • Santa Clara is coming off its second consecutive College Cup appearance in 2021 after winning the 2020 National Championship. The Broncos finished the season 15-5-3 overall and 8-1 in West Coast Conference play, securing their second-straight WCC title.
  • They closed the season on fire, going 12-1-1 in the final 14 matches, featuring wins over No. 3 Pepperdine, No. 11 BYU, No. 20 Stanford, at No. 22 Georgetown, and at No. 4 Duke.
  • Nine new players join the team, seven freshmen and two transfers, after having eight graduate. Izzy D'Aquila is the top returning scorer from last season when she scored eight goals and added four assists for 20 points. She was named Preseason All-WCC along with Sally Menti.
  • D'Aquila and Menti were also named to the United Soccer Coaches Players to watch at forward and midfield.
  • Menti was scheduled to miss the first part of the season while away with the U20 National Team playing in the World Cup but suffered a torn ACL and is out for the season. She was replaced on the US roster by Santa Clara freshman Annie Karich.
  • The Broncos are without Holly Furphy, a freshman starter, due to a leg injury. She is out for the year as well.
  • Santa Clara has been to 31 NCAA Tournaments, 12 College Cups (1989, 1990, 1992, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2020, 2021), and won two National Championships (2001, 2020). The program is just the seventh with two or more national titles. Only three teams have more.
  • The Broncos have won the West Coast Conference 12 times (1993, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2013, 2020, 2021).
  • Head coach Jerry Smith is in his 36th year. He has 532 career wins, the third most Division I wins in women's soccer history.
  • Last week, the Broncos took down San Diego on the road and dominated No. 21 Portland on Senior Day.
