  • Overall, the Broncos are 63-25-6 in the NCAA Tournament and 37-3-3 at home. They have won at least one game in each of their last nine appearances.
  • Santa Clara has gone 29-1-4 over the last four seasons in the WCC.
  • Izzy D'Aquila was named the WCC Offensive Player of the Year, Annie Karich was the Freshman of the Year, and Jerry Smith was named Coach of the Year. On the first team, the Broncos had D'Aquila, Karich, and Marisa Bubnis. Colby Barnett and Marlee Nicolos were named to the second team with Karich and Farrah Walters being named all-freshman.
  • Karich is the Broncos fifth Freshman of the Year in the last seven seasons, joining Izzy D'Aquila and Sally Menti.
  • It was Smith's ninth WCC Coach of the Year honor.
  • D'Aquila is in seventh place all-time in program history with 49 career goals. Next up is Mikka Hansen (1993-96) with 52. D'Aquila would become just the seventh Bronco with 50 or more career goals.
  • D'Aquila is also ninth in program history with 114 points. Next is Leslie Osborne (2011-04) with 122.
  • D'Aquila scored in six matches in a row to start conference play. It is just the third time in Santa Clara history a player has scored in at least six consecutive matches. She is tied with Sofia Huerta (6, 2013) and trails only Mandy Clemens (9, 1999), and Brandi Chastain (15, 1990).
  • Nicolos' career 0.73 goals against average is currently fourth in program history.
  • D'Aquila won three consecutive WCC Offensive Player of the Week awards. The first came September 19 after she scored a brace vs. No. 9 Stanford. She made it back-to-back with the September 26 honor for four goals against San Francisco. She completed the threepeat on October 3 after a hat trick against Pacific in the conference opener.
  • Nicolos was named the WCC Defensive Player of the Week on October 31. She doubled her career-high with 12 saves at No. 13 BYU to complete the shutout. It was the first time BYU had been shutout in Provo since then-No. 1 Stanford on August 30, 2018, a span of 40 matches.
  • D'Aquila's is the 19th Bronco with a hat trick and the one against Pacific was the 31st in program history. She becomes the first Bronco with multiple hat tricks in a season since Morgan Marlborough had three in 2013.
  • The eight days between her four-goal performance and hat trick were the second fewest in program history. Jacqui Little had six days between hat tricks in 1999.
  • Farrah Walter's hat trick at Oregon on September 8 was the 29th in program history and the first since Kelsey Turnbow on October 20, 2017 against Saint Mary's. Turnbow was also a freshman at the time. Walters also becomes the 18th player in program history with at least three goals in a match.
  • The match against Stanford was played in front of a season-high 3,411 fans.
  • Santa Clara is coming off its second consecutive College Cup appearance in 2021 after winning the 2020 National Championship. The Broncos finished the season 15-5-3 overall and 8-1 in West Coast Conference play, securing their second-straight WCC title.
  • They closed the season on fire, going 12-1-1 in the final 14 matches, featuring wins over No. 3 Pepperdine, No. 11 BYU, No. 20 Stanford, at No. 22 Georgetown, and at No. 4 Duke.

  • D'Aquila and Menti were also named to the United Soccer Coaches Players to watch at forward and midfield.
  • Menti was scheduled to miss the first part of the season while away with the U20 National Team playing in the World Cup but suffered a torn ACL and is out for the season. She was replaced on the US roster by Santa Clara freshman Annie Karich.
  • The Broncos are without Holly Furphy, a freshman starter, due to a leg injury. She is out for the year as well.
  • Santa Clara has been to 32 NCAA Tournaments, 12 College Cups (1989, 1990, 1992, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2020, 2021, 2022), and won two National Championships (2001, 2020). The program is just the seventh with two or more national titles. Only three teams have more.
