- Santa Clara and San José State will co-host the Silicon Valley Classic I Tournament featuring six schools from Friday to Sunday.
- SCU Softball Stadium will host a total of eight games, including four neutral site games.
- The Broncos will play four games at home plus one at San José State (on Feb. 26).

- Santa Clara has won five of its last six games including a doubleheader sweep of Fresno State in the home opener on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are the reigning Mountain West Conference Champions and qualified for the NCAA Tournament last season.
- Freshman pitcher Sage Hager has earned a win in each of her first three starts, posting a 1.17 ERA over 18 innings and two complete games.
- Hannah Edwards has a 1.24 ERA over 34 innings, recording three complete games in her six starts.
- Emma Bickford is hitting a robust .444 (16-for-36) on the year to lead the team along with 10 RBIs.
- 2022 overall statistics entering the tournament.
- SCU, under third-year head coach Gina Carbonatto, enters the season picked to finish fourth in the West Coast Conference as voted on by the six conference head coaches.
- Santa Clara finished the 2021 campaign with an 8-20 record including 5-10 in WCC play.
- A full schedule is on the docket for the 2022 season. Among the 51 regular season games, 20 will be played at Santa Clara Softball Stadium, 18 true road games and 13 neutral site contests. The Broncos will play seven games against four teams – BYU, Fresno State, Iowa State and Stanford – that competed in the NCAA Tournament last season.
- The Broncos field an experienced squad with 15 returnees including 13 that played in 2021 and two that last played in 2020.
- Six newcomers dot the roster - Lauren Bryson, Abigail Charpentier, Sage Hager, Kelsi Rice, Morgan Salmon and Nina Taylor.
- The top three hitters from 2021 return - Ashley Trierweiler (program record .481 batting average), Emma Bickford (.329) and Allyson Ferreira (.282). Sammy Needham, who hit .394 in 2020 but did not play last season returns in 2022.
- Trierweiler and Bickford were named preseason All-WCC as vote on by the league's six head coaches.
- In the circle, the Broncos return all five pitchers from 2021 plus Hannah Edwards who last pitched in 2020 where she appeared in 11 games, going 3-6 with a 3.31 ERA.
SCHEDULE
The 2022 schedule features games against four teams - BYU, Fresno State, Iowa State and Stanford - that qualified for the 2021 NCAA Tournament. Among the 51 regular season games, 20 will be played at Santa Clara Softball Stadium, 18 true road games and 13 neutral site contests. 2022 schedule release.

GAMEDAY PROMOTIONS
Check out this year's gameday promotions here. For Friday, be one of the first 50 people into the first Bronco game of the day to receive an athletic branded cooler bag. And for Sunday, kids 12 and under are invited to run the bases following the game as well as a post game autograph signing.
PARKING
For weekday games, the Leavey Center lot, located on Accolti Way off El Camino Real, is free beginning one hour prior to the start of the first game. Any other parking facility on campus will be subject to normal daily rates or restrictions, including the main structure, located adjacent to Stevens Stadium on Palm Drive. During the weekend, campus parking facilities are free (except for permit required locations). With a number of home events on Saturday, the Leavey Center will have limited availability.
