LONDON – Santa Clara softball players Cameron McGinnis and Morgan Salmon were selected to Great Britain's Senior Women's National Fastpitch team where they will compete in the European Women's Championship in July in Sant Boi, Spain.  

The Bronco duo along with SCU head softball coach Gina Carbonatto are currently in Kunovice, Czech Republic, competing as part of Great Britain's Under-22 Women's Team at the European Under-22 Women's Fastpitch Championship where play started on June 26 and continue until July 2. 

This year's European Women's Championship, to be held from July 24 - 30 is the first competitive games for the Great Britain National Team since the summer of 2019, when the team won a bronze medal at the European Championship.  Eight players from that squad return as part of this year's 16 member team.  McGinnis and Salmon, who completed their sophomore and freshman campaigns on the Mission Campus, are first time members of the national team.
