LONDON – Santa Clara softball players Cameron McGinnis and Morgan Salmon along with head softball coach Gina Carbonatto have arrived in London as part of Great Britain's Under-22 Women's Team that will compete in the European Under-22 Women's Fastpitch Championship in Kunovice, Czech Republic from June 26 to July 2.
McGinnis and Salmon, who just completed their sophomore and freshman campaigns, respectively, were selected to the Under-22 team earlier in the month, earning two of the 13 roster spots.
Carbonatto completed her third season on the Mission Campus and has served as Great Britain's U-22 assistant coach since 2018. Carbonatto along with pitching coach Windy Thees will be assisting head coach Jo Malisani in a 17-team tournament.
Great Britain will open against host, Czech Republic, on June 27. Click here for the rest of the schedule.
