SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's tennis will host Sacramento State on Friday at 11 a.m. in a nonconference match on the courts of Degheri Tennis Center.
Due to current guidelines in Santa Clara County, spectators will not be permitted inside Degheri Tennis Center. In addition, only essential personnel is allowed on campus. The general public is allowed only to 'pass through' campus, such as on a walk, but no lingering, gathering, lounging, etc. is permitted.
Friday's match will be the first since the Broncos (1-3) hosted San Jose State on February 27 where SJSU prevailed, 4-3.
Junior Jamie Schroer and freshman Finley Kalinic both have team-best 3-1 singles records. Kalinic also tops the team with a 3-1 record in doubles action while paired with fellow freshman Katherine Petty atop the lineup, a record that is matched by the doubles duo of sophomore Giulia Hayer and freshman JennaMarie Gordon.
Sacramento State (0-8) enters the contest having lost all eight matches thus far this season, five of them on sweeps.
Jayden Nielsen has three of the four singles wins all coming on court one for the Hornets.
