SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's tennis has hired Madison Harrison as a graduate assistant coach.

Harrison, a 2018 graduate of Mississippi State University, was a co-captain and All-SEC second-team honoree during her senior campaign on the Bulldogs women's tennis team.

"I am extremely excited to be joining coach Ben and the Bronco family at Santa Clara University," said Harrison.  "The program has had great success and I cannot wait to join and continue building on that for the future."

At Mississippi State, Harrison compiled an overall singles record of 46-34 and a doubles record of 43-38, ranking as high as 84th and 16th nationally in both disciplines.  In 2018, she competed in the NCAA doubles tournament.

"We are pleased to announce the hiring of Madison Harrison as our graduate assistant coach," said Broncos head coach Ben Cabell.  "She brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to our program having played in the SEC and having coached some top junior players prior to working at Santa Clara.  Madison has great energy and knowledge of the game.  She will add a lot to our program and we are so excited to have her be a part of the Bronco family."

Prior to joining Santa Clara, Harrison was a tennis teaching professional at Boar's Head Resort.

The Bradenton, Florida native graduated with a bachelor of science in kinesiology degree and was twice named ITA Scholar-Athlete.
