FRESNO, Calif. - Dalia Ahmed delivered wins at the top of both singles and doubles for Fresno State which pulled away from Santa Clara women's tennis for a 5-2 home win on Saturday.

Ahmed dispatched JennaMarie Gordon 6-0, 6-2 on court one in singles shortly after helping clinch the doubles point. She teamed with Deniza Marcinkevica for a 6-3 triumph over Santa Clara's Katherine Petty and Finley Kalinic at the No. 1 position.

After singles wins for the Broncos (2-4) by Petty and Kalinic evened the match at 2-all, Fresno State (6-3) needed three sets in each of its next two to clinch the match.

A.C. Hummel knocked off Giulia Hayer 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 on court five and Ella Husrefovic downed Lindsey Pesqueira 6-7(5), 6-4, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.

On court four, Petty defeated Carolina Piferi 6-4, 4-6, 6-0. Playing on court three, Kalinic was able to rebound against Marcinkevica in singles, posting a 7-5, 6-3 victory.
